Fuzzy Logic and IoT-based Solar Powered Sustainable Monitoring and Controlling System for Local Fish Farming

Paper ID: 144

Abstract

This study presents a novel IoT-enabled, solar-powered system for monitoring and controlling critical water quality parameters in fish farms in Bangladesh. By integrating fuzzy logic, the system automates the aeration process and ensures optimal conditions for fish health, reducing the need for manual intervention. It measures parameters like TDS, pH, turbidity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen (DO), with high accuracy (99.77% before aeration and 96.78% after aeration). The use of solar power not only minimizes operating costs but also promotes sustainability, especially in areas with limited access to conventional energy sources. The system aims to enhance fish production and improve farm management efficiency.
